Intermediate – Advanced Wheel Throwing with Julie

Mondays & Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

April 21, 24, 29, May 1, 5, 8th

This twice-weekly class is designed for potters who are confident in the basics and ready to sharpen their technique, challenge their creativity, and push their limits at the wheel.

You’ll focus on refining core skills—especially pulling clean, consistent, and anatomically correct cylinders across a variety of clay bodies and weights. Expect a mix of demonstration, hands-on practice, and constructive critique to help you build fluency, precision, and control in your throwing.

Whether you’ve been feeling stuck or you’re eager to push into more advanced territory, this class will support you in breaking through plateaus and developing your unique voice in clay. With two sessions per week, you’ll benefit from momentum-building practice and consistent feedback to accelerate your progress.

This class is for returning students who have completed a compressed enhancement session with DPG or an intermediate course. Unsure if it’s a fit? Contact devonpottery@gmail.com before registering.

All classes need to run with a minimum of 5 students and may be cancelled due to low enrollment numbers.  If the classes are cancelled you will be reimbursed your class fees. There will be no refunds, unless the class is cancelled. If an Instructor cancels a class (due to illness or emergency) the Instructor will schedule a make-up session at a mutually agreed-upon time.
